2022-2023 High School Program
Time with friends. Jewish discussion that are immediately relevant and eminently practical. Enough food — and not just pizza — that even a teenager doesn’t walk away hungry. Building stronger relationships with the rabbis of Temple Emanuel and Beth El. More time with friends. Our teens have been pretty clear about what they are looking for in post-B’nei Mitzvah Jewish engagement and we are excited to be creating just such a program.
Join us on Sundays this fall from 12:15-1:15.
We have heard loud and clear the challenges of a midweek high school program: studying for tests, extra curricular activities, and the desire to veg out with a video game make it difficult to commit and regularly attend. Beginning this fall, we are excited to welcome you on Sunday afternoons immediately following the conclusion of Torah Center.
If you’re a madrich/a, you’re in the building already.
And if you’re not participating in the madrichim program, well, you have to eat too, right? Join us for an hour of good conversation with good food and good friends. You might even learn something along the way!
We are joining with our friends at Beth El.
Temple is fortunate to have an amazing partnership with Beth El Congregation of the South Hills. Our families are friends — in school; in sports and drama and band; and in the community — and it only makes sense that we should learn together, too. Rabbis Aaron and Alex bring a great combination of informal educational experience, connection with our students, and enough patience to survive being in a room full of teenagers. They will also be joined by special guests throughout the year as conversations or situations dictate.
