About Beit HaMidrash

Beit HaMidrash, or the Adult Education Committee, provides exciting and topical educational programs consistent with the diverse values and interests of our Temple community. We do this in a numerous fun and exciting ways, all of which strive to honor Judaism’s tradition of a lifelong love of learning and growth.

Annual events such as the South Hills Torah Weekend and The Rabbi William Sajowitz Endowment Weekend provide opportunities for our community to hear (and meet) dynamic speakers from a wide range of fields including acclaimed authors, religious and political leaders, comedians, musicians, and more.

The Adult Education committee sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year including Jewish-themed film screenings (with food!), Shabbat guest speakers, cooking classes, art exhibits, Hebrew classes, and more. This programming serves to bring our Temple community closer together as we enrich our lives in a meaningful, Jewish way.

We’re always looking for new members who are interested in joining us as we continue our journey.
