Torah Center first-graders and their parents attended an assembly April 22 for the Parent Connection reading program, in which the children read books from the Temple Library. Aliya Klein read 33 books and received the grand prize of a book and Star of David necklace that holds liquid to blow bubbles. Sam Ellis came in second. Everyone who read at least 8 books received a coupon for Brusters ice cream, a personalized ribbon bookmark, a certificate of achievement, and a bracelet.
