HIGH HOLY DAYS SERVICE SCHEDULE

We offer a variety of services throughout the High Holy Days geared toward adults, families, and children.   Please note that many of our services at Temple, as indicated below, are open to the entire community at no charge.  However, we do require that non-members pre-register to attend these services using the form below.  Please join us!

We invite you to remain at Temple for the duration of Yom Kippur. You are welcome in our sacred spaces for personal prayer and meditation, and we also encourage you to choose one or more of our Beit Midrash sessions. Together in mindful community you might learn with Temple’s rabbis and lay leaders, engage in a meaningful discussion, and/or participate in an activity in the spirit of Yom Kippur. The sessions are as follows:

Beit Midrash Session 1: 12:30-1:15 pm

  • “Making Gratitude Jars” in the Art Room with Michelle Dreyfus
  • “Jewish Texts and Tradition on Abortion ” in the Beit HaT’fila with Rabbi Aaron Meyer

Beit Midrash Session 2: 1:30-2:15 pm

  • “Making Gratitude Jars” in the Art Room with Michelle Dreyfus
  • “Making it Personal: How Our Judaism Helps Us To Thrive” in the Community Room with Rabbi Jessica Locketz
  • “Light, Time, and Temple Emanuel: The Architectural Symbolism at Temple Emanuel” in the Beit HaT’fila with Dan Rothschild

Beit Midrash Session 3: 2:30-3:15 pm

  • “A Tour of the Holocaust Garden” in the Courtyard with Lynn Rubin (weather permitting)
  • “A Historical Look at Jewish Mt. Lebanon” in the WRJ Room with Melinda Freed

 

2:45 PM             Family Service in Beit HaT’fila – Open to the entire community

3:30 PM            Afternoon Service including Yizkor Memorial and Neilah Service – Open to the entire community
