In the past few weeks, as Sderot, Israel, has come under intense Palestinian rocket attacks, several congregations have asked us what they can do to help, and so, at a recent meeting of the board of trustees, the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) agreed to reopen the Israel Emergency Relief Fund.
Jews and Arabs from northern Israel participating in a unique, joint leadership program paid a visit to Temple recently.

Congregant Amy Pardo, Temple Executive Director Saralouise Reis and other Pittsburgh-area women participated in "Faces of Hope," a celebration of local Jewish breast cancer survivors sponsored by the United Jewish Federation of Pittsburgh. Portraits of Pardo, Reis and other American and Israeli breast cancer survivors are on display in the Hilla Center in Misgav, Israel. Click on the link to read more and see the portraits.
