Rosh Chodesh Women’s Gathering
December 16 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
THE DECEMBER 16 ROSH CHODESH TOPIC IS YOGA WITH A JEWISH TWIST! YAY!
Rosh Chodesh Tevet starts at sundown on Friday, December 7; however, we will officially celebrate the new moon on Sunday, December 16 (7:00 to 9:00 p.m.). By then, the menorahs and dreidels will be put away; the busyness of December will be in full swing; and it will be a great time to take a short break to rejuvenate ourselves.
We have a special treat this month! Haliel Selig, who teaches Jewish yoga and is inspiring and lovely in every way, will lead us through some simple poses (don’t worry—you won’t have to stand on your head) to reset our bodies, minds, and souls.
We will also talk about ways that yoga can enhance our Jewish path as both Judaism and yoga teach us to honor the light in ourselves and in others.
It won’t be the same without you, so please join us! Bring a friend, too! Also, be sure to wear comfortable clothes. We don’t want anyone doing yoga in a prom dress! Awkward!
Also, mark your calendars for the next Rosh Chodesh gatherings: January 6 (Sh’vat), February 10 (Adar), March 10 (Adar II), and March 31 (Nisan).
The Rosh Chodesh gatherings will be stand-alone events, so this is not a group to join. Each gathering will have a positive and encouraging environment, and women of all ages and levels of Jewish knowledge and experience are welcome.
Please RSVP to email@example.com or 412.279.7600. And if anyone is interested, there will be opportunities to host and/or plan future gatherings. If you have questions or ideas, please contact Lisa Dvorin at 412-780-8319 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
