New Temple Sign

Crews recently erected a sign along Bower Hill Road featuring a curved, aluminum frame and bronze lettering identifying Temple.  Once operational, back-to-back electronic message boards will publicize Temple events.  Landscaping will be completed later this spring.  Temple is still accepting donations to offset the cost of the $50,000 sign.

Don't do it alone
This year has gotten off to a good start with lots of programming.
Temple Emanuel now has its third Automatic External Defibrillator, or AED, located in the Library, thanks to a grant from the Jewish Healthcare Foundation.
Here is the text of Temple President Joan Rothaus' High Holy Days message to the congregation given on Yom Kippur.
Full Temple dues are going up $3 per month, but Torah Center and nursery school tuition are holding steady under the congregation's budget for 2007-08 approved June 3.
A second Chevre Kadisha ("Holy Society" involved in Jewish burial practices) has been formed in Pittsburgh and we are in need of volunteers.
You need to eat, right? Temple Emanuel is making it even easier for you to raise money for Temple while shopping at Giant Eagle supermarkets and GetGo convenience stores. [UPDATED JAN. 9]
A meal to a shiva house. A ride to Shabbat services. A phone call to make sure everything is okay.
