Many of you know, and many of you do not know that Temple Emanuel has a cemetery----a portion of Mt. Lebanon Cemetery on Washington Road.

Because Betty Diskin has been kind enough to establish a Cemetery Fund, we have recently been working on the Cemetery, and much has been done. We have hired Tru-Green to weed, feed, seed, and aerate the grounds, and to spray and feed the trees. More importantly, Temple members have come out to help us! On Friday, August 7, the T.E.R.M.S. team spent the morning edging, trimming, and weeding. On Friday, Sept.4th, a group of 12 Temple adults came out to do more! The following Sunday, members of our Temple Youth Group stepped up to the challenge of some heavy duty landscaping!

Our thanks to: Barbara Weber-Pollak, Tom Hollander, Howard Myers, Toba Myers, Ruth Novice, Mary Cothran, Ilene Cohen Leefer, Amy Pardo, Bob Freedman, Marcia Freedman, Steve Kalinsky, Peter Freed, Bob Konig, Barry Roos, Isabel Goodman, Jessie Goodman, Emily Goodman, Jayna Rubin, Daniel Ryave, Iz Rudoy, Jodi Rudoy Roberts, Taylor Weiner, Josh Kane and Jacob Ryave. We  are thrilled with this response. We need to keep it going!

Care for our cemetery is the responsibility of everyone in this Temple community. We need more help in terms of people and funds. So, please, think of us when you are making a contribution, think of the Cemetery Fund. When you have a free afternoon---think of us and help beautify our cemetery.

Let's keep the momentum into the New Year!

              Shalom,

Lynn Rubin and Judi Rudoy
